Description
These sheltland mussels are from the remote island of Basta Voe. They are grown on ropes ion what is said to be the cleanest water in the whole of the pure shetlands. These mussels tend to be larger than your average Shetland mussel as the growers allow the mussels to grow to a certain size before harvesting them from the ropes which they grow and feed.
These mussels are available all year round
They are renowned for their silky smooth texture
